From EPSOM follow Dorking Road (A24). Turn right at the first turning after crossing Epsom Common (Craddocks Avenue), cross Woodfield Lane and straight on to Barnett Wood Lane and after less than 500 metres the pub is on the left.

From the M25 come off at Junction 9 and follow the A243 to the A24 (SP.Epsom) which follow to the centre of Ashtead and turn left at Woodfield Lane (SP. Ashtead Station), and turning left on to Barnetts Wood Lane within 500 metres of the pub.

Walk & Location Information

A 3 mile walk, flat with no stiles. Some paths may become muddy if weather is wet and parts may be a bit bumpy for small-wheeled pushchairs. There are some steps at one point.

The Woodman is a Mitchell & Butlers` Ember Inn. As well as their usual extensive menu, for Sunday lunch they serve meals (of roast beef or chicken, or vegetarian pie) at £ 5.99. Booking is not necessary. Children under 14 are not allowed in the bars but there are large gardens to front and rear and plenty of cover if it rains (it won`t!).
There is a large car park to rear of pub.
