From Redhill: take the A25 ( Station Road) which is the road at the side of Redhill station. After 2.1 miles turn left onto Church Hill which in 0.2 miles leads into Nutfield Marsh Road. In 0.8 miles you arrive at the Inn on the Pond on your left. It is signed from the road and the car park is at the rear of the pub.
From Godstone: take the A25 (Bletchingly Road). After 2.7 miles turn right onto Church Hill. Then as above.

Public Transport

Train or bus to Redhill then the 430 bus from Redhill bus station Stop A at xx.39. See www.metrobus.co.uk Go to Mill Lane which is the stop after the bus passes through Watercolour estate and turns left. Walk back to the junction and ahead down Nutfield Marsh Lane. The pub is a fifteen minute walk, on the right. The 11.39 gets to Mill Lane 11.46 so you will get to the pub at opening time. We will have the timetable for the return journey.

Walk & Location Information

The Walk: 2.5 miles with no stiles but some gates would need buggies to be folded or lifted. Mainly flat with some gentle inclines and a wide ditch near the beginning which is easy to cross.
 
The Venue: There is a car park at the rear of the pub. Children are welcome in the restaurant and garden. A changing selection of real ales is served. Sunday lunchtime is very busy and, if you intend to eat, food must be ordered in advance. Stage 1

Take the bridle path towards the cricket pavilion. Walk clockwise around the cricket boundary to the road. Cross road into the field opposite then turn left and walk parallel to the road and across the wide ditch. If you do not want to walk through the ditch there are boards to cross about 15 yards in from the edge. At end of field turn left and up to the road. Turn right and walk the short distance to the Mercers Park entrance.

Stage 2

Turn right into Mercers Country Park. Follow the wide driveway which eventually goes left past the boatyard. Keep ahead to the gate.

Stage 3

Through the gate and straight ahead to the oak tree directly opposite. Around gate to right of the tree and ahead on sandy path. Keep straight ahead and up incline to gate across the path.

Stage 4

Around right of gate and straight ahead up incline. Continue ahead for some distance until you come to a gate where the path turns right

Turn right and up the wide path. Keep ahead until arriving at a gate across the path

Around left of gate and ahead to T junction. Turn left and down to path on the left. Down path on left to gate across the path
