The Walk: A 3-mile walk on country roads and footpaths through fields and quiet residential areas. There are two stiles and one steep but stepped incline.
The Venue: The Harrow Inn is a recently-refurbished pub serving various ales, catering for drinkers and those who wish to eat.
* Lunch is served 12.00 - 3.00pm Sundays; kitchen closed Sunday evenings.
* Food options are light bites - salads and platters - for 6-7 each, and main meals 10-12, including Ploughman's, lasagne, beefburger and a weekly roast special. Booking is advisable.
* The pub has car parking at the side and rear; Quiz Walkers coming by car can also park in a large lay-by adjacent to the pub on the main road.

Leave M25 J10 and join A3 southbound. Go right through Guildford. Ignore A31 turnoff and stay on A3, but take next exit, signposted Godalming Farncombe B3000. At roundabout at end of slip road, take first exit, now labelled Compton Godalming B3000. The pub is on the right in less than 1/2 mile.
Public Transport: The Harrow Inn is two miles by road from Farncombe railway station. One service per hour from London Waterloo (xx00), Clapham Junction (xx09), Woking (xx32) or Guildford (xx42), destination Portsmouth Harbour, arriving Farncombe xx48. Speedwell Taxis (01483 414718) are based in nearby Godalming and quote 6-7 for the journey from Farncombe station.
It may be preferable to travel to more frequently served Guildford station and travel from there by taxi instead (four miles by road, four trains per hour from London and 1tph from Redhill).
None of these lines is affected by engineering work on Sunday 12th May 2013.
