Location
From M25 J11 take the A317 towards Weybridge, turn left at the 1st roundabout into Chertsey Road, straight on then right at "T" junction into Bridge Road, over Chertsey Bridge, 2nd exit on mini roundabout along Chertsey Lane again, 1st left into Sheep Walk, through width restrictions and straight over lights to Watersplash Lane, where the pub is on the left.


Public Transport
The pub is less than half a mile from Shepperton station, but is also on the 402 bus route from either Shepperton or Staines. Turn right out of Shepperton station, right at main road and proceed to Watersplash Lane on right.

Four miles of easy terrain, one or two styles; several other pubs en route.The Barley Mow is a back-street local with a small car park and garden area, it serves Sunday roasts from 12 until 3pm and serves Hogs Back TEA, Hop Back Summer Lightening, guest beers and occasionally Real Ciders

Stage 1

Turn left out of pub, soon left down alley into Petts Lane. Keeping to left hand footpaths, left into Woods Road, then right into Squires Road and carefully cross Squires Bridge Road. Now turn left to mini-roundabout keeping to right footpaths and carefully cross then straight ahead to Fairview Road, continuing ahead to footpath where Stage ends.

Stage 2

Follow path, ignoring turnings left for some way. At "T" junction of paths turn left and follow to boatyard (no clues on this stretch by motorway) then turn right and bear left up slope. Cross main road carefully and turn left. Continue to traffic island past roundabout where it is safer to cross then left . Stage ends at style.

Stage 3

Over style into field and ahead to river then left through kissing gate and follow towpath to road where stage ends. This is a short stage, so linger and enjoy the eclectic Real Estate.

Stage 4

Continue keeping right and using the grassy bank wherever possible. Whenever on road, keep to the right and listen for traffic from behind (one way). Eventually reach Ferry Lane where Stage ends.

Stage 5

Turn left into Ferry Lane keeping to the left, eventually on footpath. At junction, turn right and keep to right. Eventually reach park, turn right where stage ends. (No clues on this stretch)

Stage 6

Follow high wall to river. Turn left and follow river past 2nd bench then into woods and follow path to right then sharp left out of trees. Circle cricket pitch anti-clockwise, ahead through car park, over drive, though gap into park, then bear right and follow tree line to road where Stage ends.

Stage 7

Cross road at traffic island on roundabout and head up School Lane by pub. Soon becomes earth footpath, keep straight ahead, over motorway bridge and skirting backs of houses, eventually reaching road where turn right. Keep ahead to traffic lights where stage ends. Cross road and ahead back to pub
