Location
Wonersh is situated 3 miles SE of Guildford between Shalford and Shamley Green. From Guildford centre follow the A281 Horsham or exit A3 onto B3000 and follow signs to Shalford then Wonersh. The Pub is on the B2128 in the centre of the village.

Shalford is the nearest railway station located about 1.5 miles away

Walk Information
The walk is 3 miles, mainly flat and easy going, there is a short climb up Chinthurst hill but the views over Guildford and the surrounding areas are simply stunning.
The Grantley Arms is an impressive old established inn dating from the mid 18th century. It is open all day on Sundays, there is a garden and a large car park. There is a huge and varied menu catering for all tastes and a great choice of beers. Food is served from 12.00 - 9.00 pm on Sundays, for reservations please call 01483 893351.

Stage I
Cross the road and head up the B2128 on the right hand side passing the village green towards Guildford, stage ends at the junction with Blackheath Lane.

Stage II
Turn right into Blackheath Lane and continue until reaching a red phone box. Turn left, up steps unto a narrow path in between houses, stage ends when you reach a kissing gate.

Stage III
Go through the gate and turn left, then right at a fingerpost to maintain the original direction.
Eventually arriving at a farm, turn left into the Down Link path, continue along this lane passing houses then veer right through woodland, stage ends when you arrive at the road.

Stage IV
Cross the road and continue along the Downs Link path until you reach a fork where you veer left, following signs to The Tower you start to climb uphill. Carry on up steep path with support rail on your left. At junction turn right then left by a seat to arrive at the tower where stage ends.

Stage V
Continue in the same direction with a large house in the distance, just before a stone well turn right heading downhill on a grassy fairway, joining a path to the right to reach a road. Turn right, follow the road eventually passing some houses, at a fork turn left onto a road, stage ends at a junction with the main road.

Turn left and follow road back into village, passing some interesting old cottages to arrive back at the pub where the walk ends.
