Location
Clockwise on the M25 turn off at junction 9 and take the A243 north and just as you pass back underneath the motorway take the A244 at the roundabout towards Oxshott.
Anticlockwise on the M25 turn off at junction 10 and take the A3 north. At the junction of the A244 turn towards Oxshott and the pub is just past the next crossroads after the station and on the left hand side.

Public Transport
Pub is less than ½ a mile from Oxshott station and trains via Wimbledon, Surbiton or Guildford arrive hourly on Sunday. From the station turn right at main road and over bridge. Walk Information
Parking outside the pub is limited but the car park opposite the petrol station is free on Sunday. Pub has a large garden and welcomes children. A Thai menu is available from lunchtime until evening (after the walk) and a traditional Sunday lunch is also provided from 12.00 until 4.30pm. Good selections of drinks are available at the bar and staff are friendly, pleasant and willing to help. Booking might be advisable on 01372 843562.

A fairly short and mostly flat walk of just under 3 miles. No stiles and the footpaths are good but the bridleways could get muddy after rain. There is 1 hill at the end that has steps up and down. It would be possible to get round with a pushchair between 2 adults. Junior clues will be available.

Stage I
Out of pub turn right. Cross the road at pelican crossing and continue. Cross Goldrings Road. EOS1 at the railway bridge.

Stage II
Continue over bridge and past station. Just past the bus stop turn left through woods to join a bridleway. At the bridleway turn right. Follow this bridleway without taking any of the paths that cross it. At the arrowed marker with 'Trial 2000' inscribed on it, half double back on yourself by taking the 2nd footpath on the right and walking away from the mesh rubbish bin on the far side of the large junction of tracks. Soon you will go over a slight rise and pass another white arrowed way marker in a small dip. Continue along this path and pass a sandy hollow on your right. Continue along this path towards the main road and cross a small car park. EOS2 is the entrance to the car park at the road.

Stage III
Cross the main road and turn left. At the junction of the next lane on the left cross back over towards the white post and continue up this lane. At the next car park, skirt the right hand edge and take the first small footpath on your right. Walking away from the road keep the house on your right. At the junction turn left walking away from the noise of the A3. At crossroads turn left again and follow wide sandy track with the wide open space on your right. Ignore turnings and continue straight on until the house. EOS3 is at the road.

Stage IV
Cross the road and take the right hand bridleway through the stumps. Soon, branch off bridleway on to footpath on your right. Ignore the path between the fences on your right and continue straight ahead down the slope with fence on your right. EOS4 is oak tree next to barrier in car park.

Stage V
Take wide public bridleway out of car park walking away from the road. At next junction turn left near the bridge and follow public footpath. At major junction bear right and take the steps up the hill. At the top of the hill follow the path along the line of the fence. EOS5 is the top of the next set of steps that you come to.

Stage VI
Walk down the steps. At the green bear left towards the station. Cut through a small gap in the trees towards the station buildings. In the car park turn left towards the road. EOS6 and EOQW is the Oxshott Station sign before the road. Turn right at the road and cross the railway bridge and the pub is on the left.
