The Blue Anchor is a short distance along the Dorking Road (B2032) from the large Tadworth/Kingswood roundabout on A217 (about 3 miles north of Junction 8 of M25).

Public Transport:
Tadworth Station (Victoria to Tattenham Corner line) is a short distance - see map.

STARTERS
All are visible from front of pub
 1. Why does strong drink lead us to abhor uncle?

STAGE I
Leaving pub, turn left, passing in front of Duke`s Head. At end of The Green cross the main road (please take care crossing the main roads during this walk) and take the public bridleway opposite. Go past gate and keep straight at fork in path. Soon turn right and out onto cricket field. Keep left around field and go up right side of the pavilion to road where stage ends.

STAGE II
Left on road for 30 yards, then cross at SP, go between double barrier then straight ahead for 80 yds, at SP ahead again for 100 yds. At tree just before wooden rail fork right and follow path for 150 yds. When you come out into the open by seat turn right and keeping trees on your right go forward to sign post in the distance. There you turn left keeping hedges and fences on your right. Straight on at next path with woods on your right then on to isolated sign post with green arrows where you turn right and make your way over to notice board. From there turn right and go a few yards to two posts near road where stage ends.

STAGE III
Cross road and go ahead on left path (SP Mere Pond). Where paths cross keep going straight on and you soon see a pub, which you pass on your left. At main road cross to pond and go along right hand side, soon leaving pond and going on private road until it ends, then straight on between posts onto footpath, where stage ends.
 11. Two rows in the day, but don`t worry, everything will seem brighter tonight.

STAGE IV
Short footpath brings you out in front of houses, bear round right on road, joining another dirt road onto which you turn left. Pass in front of pub and straight on and under white bar across track. Take right path down hill and at bottom turn right onto dirt road which follow till it comes out on to road where stage ends.

STAGE V
Turn right and keep to RH pavement. Proceed up hill till you reach footpath opening on right and turn in, continuing to join the tarmac path on which you proceed passing seat on right and then turning left at post showing footpath sign. Carry on till you reach road where you turn left along pavement for a distance, then cross main road and go down Tower Road. Before Tower Road bends left cross road to footpath turning left parallel to road. Keeping forward you reach another road where stage ends.

STAGE VI
Turn left at road and then follow round to left. Follow pavement along until you reach footpath across road on right and pass pond on your left. Take left fork on path and soon come out on private road which leads you to side of the Blue Anchor.
 23. Maybe this should be in Coronation Street.
 24. You need to know what SBC stands for - no leniency will be shown.
 25. The star is in the sky of course, but what is it attached to?
