STAGE I 
Leave pub, turn left, cross road and through 3 wooden posts. Ahead onto sandy path. Keep on path until stony track on right ends stage.

STAGE II 
Right and follow this track across golf course to road. End of stage.

STAGE III 
Cross road then ahead into woods. Soon out of woods and ahead to road. Cross here, ahead through gates, but not later than 9 p.m. Cross race course and end stage at bylaws sign on left.

STAGE IV 
Up ahead on sandy path. At top cross race course again. Straight ahead on path. End stage at cross paths and white posts (one long, one short).

This will underlay the horse

STAGE V
Carry on until you reach path on right. Take this path through the woods until "T". Here right, soon cross sandy track and then another. Soon the grandstand looms ahead, at race course left then quickly right, cross course and end stage.

STAGE VI 
Straight ahead through posts with 3 yellow arrows, follow path across downs to sandy track, here right, at "T" left, through metal crossing barrier, keep pub on left, cross race-course, then right to traffic lights, cross road then back to Derby Arms.
