From Coulsdon: Take Chipstead Valley Road, heading west (see detail map). Continue through Chipstead Valley and The Ramblers Rest is on right, approximately 2 miles from Coulsdon.

From Sutton area (A217): Take A217 south (beware speed cameras). Continue past Banstead then after Shell garage on right take Waterhouse Lane on left (signposted Kingswood Station). Continue past shops and station this becomes a country road. Approximately 2 miles from A217, pass Chipstead village sign. The Ramblers Rest is shortly on left.

From M25 J 8 (Reigate): Take A217 north. Beware speed cameras. After just over 2 miles and at the 3rd roundabout, take 4th exit (Bosnor Drive, signposted Kingswood, Chipstead, Coulsdon). After ½ mile turn right at T-junction (Kingswood station). After approximately 1½ miles, pass Chipstead village sign. The Ramblers Rest is shortly on left.

Public Transport: From Chipstead station walk down to main road (Outwood Lane) and turn left. The Ramblers Rest is a little over ½ mile on right..

At road right, then right up public footpath by letterbox, soon cross railway, through gate and up path, at fork left, at metal kissing gate right. End stage at three-fingered post.

STAGE III  
Here right. At top right with field on left and trees on right. Ignore paths on right and end stage at fence and warning notice.

STAGE IV 
Don't go through gap in fence ahead, but turn right and follow path down into woods. At "T" left and end stage at two-fingered sign to Banstead Woods Nature Trail and Countryside Walk

On to car park, on right edge of which is a gate 20 yards from the top. Go through this gate. Just before wooden cabin turn right and take path into woods. Out of woods, left on to asphalt path parallel to road. Here right. End stage opposite Stagbury House.
