STAGE I
Turn right out of pub and continue along
RH side of road. About 50 yds beyond last house, go right over
stile into field and follow path, keeping hedge then wood on
your right. Continue up, crossing another stile. Stage ends at
gate on right (Hanger Estate).

STAGE II
Continue following perimeter of field
up to top of hill. Over stile and into wood. Go through gateway
then bear to left across field to the wood again and through
gate. Ahead for 30 yards then right through gateway and downhill
into wood. Keep going through wood, ignoring crosspaths, following
Q/Walk signs. Stage ends at tree on left after finally emerging
from wood.

STAGE III
Keep ahead, still going downhill, then
after metal gate on right, bear right through trees and over
stile. Across field to stile opposite. Over stile then bear right
keeping fence on right. At end of field, go over stile and follow
path to road, where stage ends.

STAGE IV
From the end of stage 3, turn right
and follow lane for about 100 yards, then go left opposite 'Meadowbrook'
(don't be put off by Private Drive notice). Keep ahead, ignoring
low stile on right. At end of drive, continue ahead over stile,
with barn buildings on right. Follow narrow path uphill, reaching
end of stage at wood.

STAGE V
Turn right along edge of wood, then
soon left into wood (uphill again!) then branch right after 40
yds at 'Keep Out' and 'Private Woodland' signs. Keep ahead for
250 yds then bear right downhill following Public Footpath sign.
Emerge from wood and straight across field into trees and soon
reach road via stile. Stage ends here.

STAGE VI
Across road and over stile. Go half
right across large field, and at far side bear right, keeping
hedge on left. Ignore gate on left, go through gate at corner
of field. Down between trees to Turville. At village, go straight
ahead to the right of little green and up path between houses,
towards windmill. Stage ends at 'Danger of Death' sign on right.

STAGE VII
Continue a little further towards windmill
then right through gate and follow clear path across field to
stile. Over stile and on to wooded path, follow this to road.
Cross road then over stile following Public Footpath sign, keep
on path when it bears right downhill with fence and then wall
on right. Over stile and left along road back to the pub.
