Event Title

Footpath SignWe organise short walks in Surrey, England approximately every three weeks through the summer months. You may have seen small groups of us wandering around with sheets of paper and puzzled expressions. Then there’s groans or roars of laughter and everyone moves on.

North Downs footpathWhat is going on? It must be a Quiz Walk!

So what is a Quiz Walk? It is a quite a short walk, usually 3 to 4 miles (5 to 6 Km) in length, along footpaths and bridleways. But it is also a quiz with 25 cryptic clues. Answers are things that can be seen along the route. A group of us, with ponyWe start after lunch from a pub on a Sunday afternoon and, about three hours later, end up back at the pub.

It is a team event. At the end the organiser takes the answers and tells us how well we did. Points are awarded and, over the summer, we run a league.
